The first mine picnic shortly after WWII ended.  The Bradley Mining Company sponsored a free picnic for the miners and residents of the valley and  provided BBQ beef and  drinks  all day long.

The carving crew.  Choice Beef roasts were roasted all night on racks in a huge specially constructed brick and rock oven that the racks rolled into.  A crew tended the fire all night.
